- Their primary responsibility includes reading the newspaper archives to collect data about political violence and input that data into Excel Sheet.
- Interns must have strong reading and writing skills in English.
- The Polis Project’s internship program is open to undergraduate, graduate students (as well as some recent graduates) in any related discipline from any institution, and others interested in learning how to build and work with datasets.
- Each internship lasts for three months. For these positions, we are only recruiting students who can commit a minimum of three months
- Based on performance, interns will be hired as Research Assistant to work, co-write position papers and collaborate on the project long-term.
- Selected Research assistants will be provided with a stipend.
- Interns must work at least 12 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 20 hours/week during the summer.
- Our internships can be undertaken for academic credit, and this is highly encouraged. All interns work remotely and need to check-in via Skype for the weekly conference.
