Centre For Social Justice, established in 1993, CSJ is a human rights organisation fighting for the rights of the marginalised and vulnerable.
Inspired by Frieran thought, CSJ has been active in more than ten States across India creating human rights interventions using law as a key strategy through an intimate engagement with grassroot realities.
CSJ fulfills its mandate by training and strengthening community lawyers and paralegals by building their capacities to deliver change-inducing leadership in their communities through a network of law centres.
A pioneer in the field of access to justice, CSJ has also made path-breaking institutional interventions in the form of research, legal reforms and initiatives bringing together grassroots activism, law and policy-making on a wide array of issues affecting women, dalits, adivasis, minorities and other socially vulnerable groups.
CSJ is now looking to induct young law graduates with a strong passion for social change. Selected candidates will be engaged full time in research, advocacy and capacity building activities on human rights issues.
Senior Level Position: Graduate in Law, 7 to 10 years of experience of using law for social change.
Salary: 25,000/- to 32000/- per month
- Ability to Convert social issues into legal intervention
- Ability to Design and Conduct legal Research
- Ability to Design and Conduct Training Programs
- Ability to Document, write reports, project proposal
- Ability to Manage program (Skill of planning, executing and reviewing programs)
- Knowledge of law and procedure
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and guide team
Middle level Position: Graduate in Law, 3 to 6 years of experience of using law for social change,
Salary: 15000/- to 20000/- per month
- Ability to Convert social issues into legal intervention
- Ability to Conduct legal Research
- Ability to Design and Conduct Training Programs
- Ability to Document, write reports and case summaries
Persons applying should be able to work in challenging situations, demonstrate high risk taking ability and travel extensively and live in semi urban places.
Currently, there are openings are in the states of Assam, Gujarat, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
