The DRP Legal Republic Day Essay Writing Competition is organized by Dr. Rajendra Prasad Legal Society Every Year to promote original legal writing and research work in the field of law. We are delighted to announce the third edition of the competition.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to all undergraduate law students and postgraduate law students pursuing Master of Laws or an equivalent masters degree in law.

How to participate?

Step 1: Submit your ESSAY.

Step 2: Register online if your Essay is selected for participation.

Important Dates

18th January, 2017 – Last day for submission of essays by email.

20th January, 2017 – Last day for online registration.

26th January, 2017 – Results

Prizes

1st Prize – Rs. 12,000/- Cash

2nd Prize – Rs. 9,000/- Cash

3rd Prize – Rs. 5,000/- Cash

Rank 4th & 5th – Rs. 5,00/- Cash for each participant.

Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all the students.

Submission Guidelines

The competition is open to the students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses in any university/college across the globe.

Plagiarism of any form shall result in disqualification.

The Essay must be written in English.

The Essay must be type-written

 Heading : Font size 16 , Bold

 Sub heading : Font Size 14, Bold

 Main Content : 12 font size

 Font: Times New Roman

 Line Spacing : 1.5 line space.

 Margin : Left and Right : 1.25” Top and Bottom : 1”

 Citation style : Any Uniform Style of Citation.

The Essay should not be more than 5000 words. (Word limit is exclusive of Footnotes)

The Essay has to be submitted in MS-Word format.

There has to be no End Notes.

Co-authorship is permitted up to 2 authors.
