About
Centre for Advanced Research in Dispute Settlement (CARDS) set up at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam is scheduled to conduct a 3- Day Training Course on International Arbitration from 25th October, 2016 to 27th October 2016.
The course is designed to provide its takers a structured learning experience starting with an Introductory Session on Day-1, followed by an intensive session on International Arbitration Agreement(s) and Procedures & Appointments in International Arbitration on Day-2 and ending on Day-3 with a session on International Arbitral Award.
Special Session
There would also be a Special Session on “Career Prospects in International Arbitration” by Mentors from Project Abhimanyu.
Why to take this Course?
The Arbitration Course is designed to provide basic and advanced knowledge in arbitration law to students, faculties and practitioners who have a general knowledge of arbitration law.
The course shall cover the theoretical aspect of Arbitration (Basics) and also the practical applicability by providing Training on Arbitration Drafting Clause and Award Writing. It is a comprehensive package with a good learning experience moderated by intellectuals from the legal industry.
Speakers
The speakers for this course shall be Partners, Senior Associates and Associates from some of India’s top law firms such as Economic Laws Practice, Luthra & Luthra, Khaitan & Co., JSA and Shardul Amarchand and Mangaldas. All participants would be certified at the end of this course by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Economic Law Practices, CARDS and DSN.
Who can Attend?
The course is designed to suit the requirements of learners who want to acquire professional knowledge on the basics of Arbitration. Learners for our course are the Undergraduate and LL.M Students, Academia, Practitioners.
Course Fee
The registration fees for the participants are as below:
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: Rs. 4000/- (Excluding Accommodation);
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students Rs. 5500/- (Including Accommodation for 3 days)
DSNLU Students Rs 2500/- (Limited Intakes)
Academia/Practioners: Rs 6500/- (Excluding Accommodation)
Registration Charge includes Course Kit, Lunch and refreshments on all three days.
Participation Cap
A cap of 80 participants is proposed for the first edition.
The account details for deposit of fee shall be shared once the registration for the course is complete and has been approved by the organizers. Payment made shall not be refunded in any circumstances.
Admission
First-cum-first serve basis (Limited seats). Interested candidates can register by filling the Google Form.

Accomodation
The accommodation shall be provided for 3 days on an additional payment of Rs. 1500/- for the Practioners and Academia. However, the requirement for accommodation has to be notified well in advance.
Transport Arrangement
Transportation facility shall be provided to the participants for picking and dropping from accommodation and venue. If the details are provided in advance regarding the fight or train timings, transportation facility shall be provided for the same.
