Location
The internship will take place in New York.
Duration
The Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea is recruiting interns for a two-month internship within the period from December 1st, 2015 to June 30th, 2016.
Graduate students who wish to gain practical experience in ocean affairs and the law of the sea, and an opportunity to work in a multicultural, intergovernmental organisation are invited to apply.
The successful interns will be assigned to projects and tasks which will provide them with the opportunity to apply and further develop their knowledge in ocean affairs and the law of the sea, under supervision.
Stipend
The internship is unpaid and full-time; interns work five days per week (35 hours).
Eligibility
Graduate or undergraduate law students in the final academic year towards a Bachelor’s level degree with a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and specifically, in ocean affairs and the law of the sea.
Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of French is desirable.
Applicants should be computer literate in standard software applications.
