Started in 2005, Law and Other Things is India’s first online portal devoted to debates and ideas in constitutionalism, legal history, and public policy from a diverse section of viewpoints. The blog has been cited in numerous law review articles, legal books and most recently by a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court.
The blog is widely read by judges, lawyers, law professors, judicial clerks, and law students across the country. It is also followed in many Commonwealth countries including the UK, Australia, Singapore, Kenya, Malaysia, and South Africa. The editorial committee of the blog consists of scholars like Vikram Raghavan, Arun Trivengadum, Aparna Chandra, Nick Robinson etc.
We are glad to inform that LAOT is now inviting guest contributions from law students, legal practitioners and academics. The pieces should be not more than 1200 words on any contemporary area of Public Law. All the sources should be hyperlinked in the piece.
